Please note employees must sign a new form every year for medical reimbursement and dependent childcare.  The maximum for dependent care is $5,000.00. The maximum for medical reimbursement is $2,500.00.

Appropriate expenses must be incurred between January 1 and December 31.  Employees have until March 31 to submit receipt forms to Progressive Benefits Solutions for reimbursement.

The Flexible Benefits Plan allows an employee to pay for certain employee benefits with pre-tax dollars. The Flexible Benefits Plan is offered through Knox County Schools and authorized by the Internal Revenue Service. The specifics are listed in the FSA & DCA Plan book.

How do I Join the Flexible Benefits Plan?

An employee can join the first 31 days of hire or during Flexible Benefits Enrollment. Enrollment forms are available from Employee Benefits at 594-1686. The Flexible Benefits Plan runs on a calendar year (January 1 – December 31). A member must re-enroll in the Dependent Care and/or Medical Spending Accounts annually during open enrollment. A separate form is required to set up each account annually. The effective date will be January 1.
